How to Buy Starbucks Korea Merchandise from Overseas (2026 Guide)

Starbucks Korea does not sell to overseas addresses as far as we could find, and its membership sign-up asks for Korean identity verification. Its tumblers, mugs, and seasonal goods are sold through three kinds of channels: the Starbucks Korea app, physical stores, and official brand stores on Korean shopping sites. Which channel an item is in decides whether anyone can buy it for you. This guide lays out the channels, the costs we could confirm, what sells out, what is store-only, and how to pack ceramics for an international trip.

What is Starbucks Korea MD and why do people collect it?

In Korea, Starbucks merchandise is called MD (엠디), short for merchandise. Starbucks Korea designs its own lines, separate from what is sold in the US, Japan, or elsewhere. A cup released in Seoul is usually not available in any other country's stores.

The lines fall into three groups. Core MD is the year-round range in the brand's green and white. Seasonal MD arrives with each promotion: cherry blossom in spring, summer and autumn themes, and the year-end holiday range. Collaboration MD pairs Starbucks with a character or brand. When we checked the official store on SSG.COM in October 2026, it was featuring a Farmers' Market collection, a Leaf to Coffee collection, and a Peanuts + Starbucks collaboration.

There is also app-only stock. In July 2023, for example, Korean media reported an online store event in the Starbucks app with eight new summer items, including iced drink cups, dessert cups, an oval plate, an ice tray, and a tumbler, that were not sold in physical stores.

Collectors want these for the designs, and because the releases are short. Popular collaboration pieces can sell out quickly and then reappear on resale apps at a markup.

Can you buy Starbucks Korea merchandise directly from overseas?

We did not find a way to do it yourself from abroad. The obstacles differ by channel.

The Starbucks Korea app. The app's online store is for members. The Starbucks Korea sign-up page has a terms and 본인인증 (bon-in injeung, identity verification) step, and the methods offered are Korean ones: Toss, mobile phone verification, and i-PIN. These confirm identity through Korean carriers and credit agencies. A foreign phone number does not pass. A Starbucks account from another country is a separate system.

SSG.COM and Gmarket. Starbucks has an official brand store on SSG.COM and an official brand hall on Gmarket. These are regular Korean shopping sites. They deliver within Korea, and their own sign-up and payment steps apply.

Physical stores. Anyone can buy in person, including tourists. From overseas, that requires a person in Korea.

No international shipping option appeared on any of the official pages we checked.

HaulKorea works from a product address on a Korean online store. If your item has a page on SSG.COM or Gmarket, that is the simple case. If it exists only on a shelf in a store in Jeju, we cannot promise it. We do not send staff to queue at stores.

If you will be in Korea, buy in person and carry it home. That is the cheapest route and the only reliable one for regional items.

If you have a working Korean account and card, forwarding can work. Check that the forwarder repacks ceramics properly.

Otherwise, a buying agent is the practical option for anything with a product page.

Step by step: ordering through HaulKorea

1. Find the item on an official online channel. Start with the Starbucks store on SSG.COM. Search by the collection name plus 텀블러 (tumbler) or 머그 (mug).
2. Check the capacity and material. Korean listings give volume in milliliters: 355ml, 473ml, 591ml. They also state stainless steel, plastic, glass, or ceramic. This affects both price and shipping risk.
3. Copy the product address and paste it into our quote form. Choose color and size options if the page has them.
4. Add anything else you want from Korea. You can hold purchases at our Korean warehouse and send them in one box. A cup shipped with a KREAM order or a few Pocamarket cards shares one shipping charge.
5. Review the total. It includes international shipping. You pay once, by PayPal. If the parcel weighs less than estimated, we refund the shipping difference. There is no later bill.
6. We place the order. If the item sold out between your quote and our purchase, you are refunded under our refund policy.
7. Inspection photos. When the parcel arrives at our warehouse we open the outer box and photograph the item and its retail box. For glass and ceramic, this is when chips and cracks from domestic delivery get caught.

What does it cost?

Store-side costs:

• Item price. As an example of the range, a 355ml stainless to-go tumbler from the signature line was listed at ₩39,000 on a Korean marketplace page we saw (as of October 2026). Keychains and small accessories cost less; large collaboration tumblers cost more. Confirm on the product page.
• Domestic shipping. Each channel sets its own fee and free-shipping threshold. We could not confirm the current figures from official pages, so read the amount on the checkout screen. Starbucks has handed out free-shipping coupons during online store events.
• Gift packaging. Not something we could confirm. Ask if you need it.

What to buy

• Stainless steel tumblers. The core of every collection. Durable, and the safest thing to ship.
• Cold cups with straws. Plastic or glass, usually 473ml and up. Seasonal colors drive demand.
• Mugs and glassware. Ceramic mugs in seasonal designs. Heavier and fragile.
• Character keychains and figures. SSG.COM's Starbucks store has a category just for these. Small, light, and easy to add to a box.
• Collaboration pieces. Character and brand tie-ins, such as the Peanuts range running in autumn 2026. These sell fastest.
• Cherry blossom collection. The spring line. It is seasonal, so by autumn it is mostly found on resale apps.
• Reusable bags and lifestyle goods. Totes, pouches, picnic items. Sometimes issued as gifts with purchase during events.
• Tableware. Plates and trays, often in app-only releases.

Starbucks stores on Korean shopping sites also list coffee and food. Food shipping rules differ by country.

Things that go wrong (and how to avoid them)

It sold out before the order went through. Collaboration items can go within hours of release. A buying agent adds a step between your request and the purchase. For a high-demand launch, we cannot promise to beat the sell-out. Send the link as early as you can.

It is not online at all. Regional collections and some launch-day stock are sold only in stores. If you cannot find a product page, assume we cannot buy it, and ask.

It is in the app only. App-exclusive items need a verified member account. Ask us before you order.

Purchase limits. Limited items may have a per-person quantity cap. Asking for six of the same tumbler may not be possible.

Breakage. Ceramic mugs and glass cups travel badly in retail boxes alone. Our inspection photos show the condition before export. If you want the item kept in its retail box and double-boxed, say so. This increases the size of the parcel, and international shipping is charged by volume as well as weight.

The resale trap. After a sell-out, the same cup shows up on resale apps. That is a private sale with different rules: no returns, and no guarantee the item is unused. If you go that route, read our Bunjang guide first.

Authenticity. An item bought from an official Korean channel comes with no authenticity question. An item bought from a reseller does, and our inspection photos cannot settle it.

Gift cards and e-coupons. Starbucks Korea cards and mobile coupons are not merchandise. We do not handle them.

Returns, breakage, and customs

Korean consumer law gives online shoppers who buy from a business seven days from delivery to withdraw from a purchase. For a simple change of mind, the buyer pays return shipping both ways. The right is lost if the buyer damages or uses the item. Each store's own conditions sit on top of that.

For an overseas order through an agent, that window runs while the item is still in Korea. Once it has been exported, a change-of-mind return is not practical: the postage back would exceed the price of a mug. This is the reason to look at the inspection photos carefully. If the item is wrong or arrived damaged at our warehouse, tell us before we ship, and we handle it with the store under our refund policy.

Sizing is simple here. Check milliliters, and check whether the lid type suits hot drinks, cold drinks, or both.

Customs rules vary by country. For the United States, the HaulKorea total includes import duty, so there is nothing to pay on delivery. For every other country, duty and tax are not included, and the recipient pays them when the parcel arrives.
